October 6, 201213 yr I'm clueless about this one. I select unmenu to check for updates then I select to install those updates. This is what happens.... You've apparently modified your local version ( myMain_local.conf ) and therefore it no longer matches the deployed version. The update process is basically alerting you, but not replacing your modified version. It is up to you to check out the differences, and if needed replace the older (locally modified) version with the newer one (or edit the older version). In most cases, you'll not need to do anything, so the message is just informational. To see the differences type: diff /tmp/unmenu_tmp/myMain_local.conf /boot/unmenu/myMain_local.conf

There is also no unmenu_tmp folder in my /tmp folder. Maybe I should try to reinstall unmenu?

(It would be gone if you did) Also, the myMain_local.conf file is optional, you might not have one. It is only needed if you want to override one of the system config variables. Just use unMENU, if it has nothing new to install, there is no need to re-install it.
