[SOLVED] Re-use of parity drive as data drive

Gentlemen/Ladies,

 

I replaced my 2tb parity drive with a 3tb parity drive.

 

I now wish to take the old 2tb parity and use it as data; can someone direct me regarding the steps I need to take to perform this? Does it need another pre-clear? Would doing it hurt? Thank you all

Stop the array, assign it as a data drive.

Does it need another pre-clear?

If you do not preclear it, unRAID will clear it keeping the array off-line for 5 or more hours while it does.

Would doing it hurt?

A preclear on the drive would not hurt at all.
