As you said, it is a second issue. Joe L. These errors are ACPI related. Either you have ACPI disabled in your BIOS, or it is poorly implemented in your BIOS. or (unlikely) you added "noacpi" in your syslinux.cfg on the flash drive. (you can see if the MB manufacturer BIOS has a update available) See this link for a similar error having nothing to do with unRAID. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-newbie-8/error-in-kernel-log-acpi-948276/ and another here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=491588 This has everything to do with your motherboard BIOS, and nothing unRAID can do will fix it. If everything is working otherwise you can just ignore the error. I have no way to know how it impacts ACPI handling on your MB. Joe L.
October 23, 201213 yr Thanks, I had found that but hadn't acted on it yet. It is a Intel C206 based mobo, pretty new! I think I need to clear the CMOS and then check that a few things are enabled.
October 23, 201213 yr Ok, fixed it by disabling AHCI on the hard disks. AHCI was enabled on the last set of disks, why is there a problem now!?
October 23, 201213 yr Author Ok, fixed it by disabling AHCI on the hard disks. AHCI was enabled on the last set of disks, why is there a problem now!? ACPI != AHCI Joe L.
October 23, 201213 yr Ok, fixed it by disabling AHCI on the hard disks. AHCI was enabled on the last set of disks, why is there a problem now!? ACPI != AHCI Joe L. Doesn't matter, I turn AHCI off, it fixes the issue which makes sense, given that the errors were to do with the hard disks. Once the parity check is complete I'll turn it on again to see what happens!
October 24, 201213 yr Ok, i've turned it back on and it doesn't seem to effect the servers operation. Also apparently it isn't an error, but the EFI firmware not letting go of some things.
