October 24, 201213 yr Hi all, firstly i am using unRAID Server Basic , Version 5.0-rc8a currently, i have a folder in disk 1 named "torrents" the folder can be opened, and consists of "download" and "watch" i can delete the folder called "watch", but i cant seem to delete the folder called "download" whenever i open the folder, it comes up this message that Z:\torrents\download is not accessible. This is my first unraid pc, am not coming from a previous version. I would like to delete that folder, so i can delete away the current smb share called "Torrents" Can i do this via telnet? Please help me ASAP.!! btw, this problem is because when i rebooted the server, my transmission torrent didnt work properly, so reinstalled all the plugins for transmission. after that, transmission works, but my downloads dont go to the usual direcctory, and in fact they dont go anywhere. so i think there is a problem with this folder, and would like to get rid of this smb share
October 24, 201213 yr Telnet to your system. Type in "mc" Use the interface to navigate to your share (likely /mnt/disk1/torrents). Hit F8 on your download directory to delete. Profit.
October 24, 201213 yr Author Hey, i tried the mc method.. went to mnt / disk1/torrents, but when i pressed the f8 key and pressed enter, this message appeared: root@tower:/mnt/disk1/torrents# 19~ bash: 19~: command not found Press any key to continue.. Also, when i used transmission to try to download torrent to another folder, i cant see the torrent appearing. It appears all my folders are "read only" when using windows explorer to check on properties.. what should i do now?
October 24, 201213 yr Try going to the utils page and running the new permissions. If (once) that works, fix your Transmission install so it downloads with the proper permissions.
October 24, 201213 yr Author Well, i did the utils thing and it worked! Managed to delete the torrents folder, but now there is another problem.. i can access //tower:8080, but not //tower.. so i cant delete away my share i tried doing killall emhttp nohup /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & this is the message i got, Tower login: root Linux 3.4.11-unRAID. root@Tower:~# killall emhttp root@Tower:~# nohup /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & [1] 21080 root@Tower:~# nohup: ignoring input and appending output to `nohup.out' still cant access //tower.. what should i do?

(possibly use the unMENU array management screen to stop the server first) That method of re-starting emhttp no longer works in the 5.X series. Forget trying to use it. Joe L.
