Lost WebGUI during new drive clearing

Featured Replies

Hello,

Running 4.1Pro I added a new drive and during the clearing process I lost the ability to access the unRAID via the web interface.  Thank fully I have a monitor/keybd attached but it didn't really help me as once the clearing finished I couldn't select format (AND...I don't really know the linux commends at the prompt :( )

How do I get the interface back when this happens?  I've searched and read numerous posts trying to track down how to fix this - several mentions of this problem but no clear answers on how to fix it.

Another thing I noticed is that once the hour has timed out all the drives show as spun down - including the one being cleared.  Why?

Is this a simple thing, or is it a unique thing that only the syslog can sort?

Since this happened, I had to reboot and this started the 4 hour clearing process again (ouch!).  I've since upgraded to 4.3.3 following the advice in another thread of mine.  I'm currently going through the clearing process and hopefully it will get it sorted - but I'm always looking for answers.  Thx for the help.

My questions about the emhttp process where answered here http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2387.0

My 3rd attempt at clearing met with success.  Weird...I've never had this problem before.  Must be all the rain we are getting here!
