Unraid 5.0rc8a PRO array size not showing correctly in GUI

Featured Replies

My first post here since i got my Unraid server up and running. Really like it so far, I went straight to the beta software, mainly doing some preliminary reading about 5.0 supporting 3tb drives which I have 4.

So far it's working flawlessy, a few resets required in the process of adding new drives but now I've got them all in all my data transferred and shares up and running with about 20tb of total space.

A minor question and I apologize if someone has already asked it and solved it but I went through a lot of the forum and didn't see this particular question.

On my main GUI screen my array size hasn't updated properly since the 3rd disc i added, I started out with the free version and since upgraded all the way to PRO.

All my discs are properly setup, it shows the correct size in my SHARES 9.5tb of free space left but not on the main screen which is strange, only showing 7.8tb TOTAL array size since I added the 3rd disc. Disc 4,5 and 6 haven't had the size added to the main total but have properly shown up in the array and in shares. Disc 5,6 are running off a supermicro 8 channel SAS card and are working properly already added to the array. All the discs were cleared and formatted with Unraid.

Thanks for any input from the members.

I'm running windows 7 64bit

Intel G620

8gb ram (i know overkill for server but it was available)

Asus matx pro mobo

Supermicro AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 8 Channel (2 discs running off it) works fine, discs are added already

unRAID has no "total" size on its main screen (AFAIK).

Talk to whoever wrote your add-on.  Sounds like you are using a customization.

Ok, I guess I thought the size at the bottom of the GUI was suppose to update but maybe it just updates when you need to update or reinstall Unraid?

hmm ok not sure how to add an image, cut and paste doesnt seem to work, hopefully the attachment of the screen shot will work. Apologizes for a bit of PEBKAC

I suggest you look at it again.  What you are seeing is the size of your USB drive if the 7.76/7.8 GB is what you were refering too here.

I had the same problem when I first booted with 5.0.  I was busy and forgot about it with everything else I was doing at the time.  The next day when I remembered and looked again I saw my mistake.  So it is fresh in my mind.  My heart still skips a beat when I look at it if it has been a while.
