i have set the spindown of the drives to 1 hour, and after that 1 hour the drives spindown nicely,

but shortly after my system goes into suspention mode S3

 

well, i think S3, because this is what is can turn on the my motherboards bios.

drives are spun down, all fans are off, usb is off, but the ethernet is still on, so i think S3

 

well, all nice, but i cant wake it up.

have tried several windows apps that use the ip, mac adress, UPD/IPX and port 7 or 9, but none of them work.

 

am i doing something wrong or missing something?

 

checked the bios several times and it is configured right

    If the power supply fan and CPU fan are off, but ethernet is still alive, definitely S3 suspend, which, unfortunately is unsupported by the unRAID Server linux kernel at this time.
