Freshing up unRaid

Featured Replies

Hi there,

can I fresh up unRaid and start with a clean version of it just by deleting everything on the 'flash' network share and putting the files from the zip file in there? Would the drive still be bootable?

I do not mind loosing settings or stuff, I have just precleared my drives and wanted to start with a new, clean version of unraid. :-)

Thanks

Hi there,

Do not delete everything...

leave the file

ldlinux.sys

or the drive will not be bootable, also do not re-format it, or it will revert to not be bootable.  Do not delete your *.key file.  (assuming you are using a paid version of unRAID)

Then, you can un-zip the newest version of unRAID onto the flash drive and it should boot.
