January 13, 201313 yr I've noticed that when sabnzbd is either repairing or unpacking, unraid in general runs very slow and sometimes the web interface hangs up. I will attach a screenshot of top displaying my processes at the time and one of my system specs. Edit: I used this system with Windows 7 and didnt experience these issues. One other thing I forgot to mention is something I noticed last night while watching a move over XBMC which I've never experienced. While watching the movie, sabnzbd was unpacking/repairing and my movie kept buffering over and over. I had to pause the movie for a while until it finished. I've also just added a syslog.
January 13, 201313 yr Author I had to create a reply because I've uploaded too much in that one post I supposed. Here is the syslog. syslog.txt
January 13, 201313 yr Did you even look at the contents of the syslog you posted? Your process is failing due to a lack of space on the disk... there are tons of these types of error messages. Jan 2 15:00:17 Server logger: rsync: recv_generator: mkdir "/mnt/user0/mysql/newznab" failed: No space left on device (28) Joe L.
January 13, 201313 yr Author I'm sorry, I didnt look at it. Even after looking at what you pasted from my syslog I dont know what to do because I'm not out of space on any drive. Do you have any suggestions? Again, I'm sorry for not taking a look at it myself, to be honest, it's very confusing for me.
January 13, 201313 yr Author My bad again Joe L, I'm an idiot. I posted the wrong log. The dates on that log are from 1/2. This one I'm posting is more up to date and doesnt show any errors. syslog-2013-01-13.txt
January 14, 201313 yr Author So is there a way to force sabnzbd to slow its role in unraid? That way it wont use so much system resource when it's unpacking/repairing.
January 15, 201313 yr Author So I think I figured out my problem with SABNZBD but I believe I created more problems. I only had an 80GB cache drive so I had my downloads set to the share so I believe that was bogging down everything according to some other posts I've read. I put in a bigger cache drive and tried to copy everything over and it all went pretty good except for mysql newznab stuff. I'm putting the mysql data path back to where it was now to see if I can get it up and going but if anyone has any suggestions on moving mysql data to the cache drive and getting this thing going, I think I'll be doing good for a lil while.
January 15, 201313 yr Author Alright, I have wiped all mysql and newznab from my unraid and reinstalled. I dont backfill so it's not like anything is lost. I believe my problem is fixed although I now have one more problem which I'll try to figure out. If needed, I will come back to the community and get more help. Thanks, I couldnt have done this without you.
