Yes it is. I didn't have enough memory for it to finish starting. I reduced what memory my VM was getting and it has plenty to start now.

@ich777 I confirmed it was memory or lack there of. Thank you for your response.

I'm not sure how to tell. The server becomes unresponsive after a couple minutes and I have to restart it. It could possibly be not enough memory. Do you know how much it takes to load the base game?

@ich777 I tried setting up an Ark-SE server this week from scratch and it just hangs my server. My cache drive that the docker is installed on maxes out and eventually Unraid is not accessible. I watched the docker log go through the download and then when it starts the server is when the usage on my cache ramps up. Edit: I finally got back in to my server and this was the last bit of the log. Fin

Slow SMB traffic over Wireguard since updating from Unraid v6 to v7
I downgraded from Unraid 7.1.4 to 6.12.15 and this resolved the Wireguard slow transfer issue. So it is definitely something with the updated built-in Wireguard.

Slow SMB traffic over Wireguard since updating from Unraid v6 to v7
I added this thread to a thread created by xreyuk in the bug section. I want this to remain open but hopefully it'll gain more traction. I've seen more traction to other's threads with much less information posted. If someone sees anything in this thread that needs to be added in order for folks to give suggestions on fixing our issues please let me know.

Slow SMB traffic over Wireguard since updating from Unraid v6 to v7
Yep, same results for me. My friend upgraded his Unraid to 7 and it is the same thing for him. I can't believe this isn't a bigger topic on here. I couldn't find a peep about it until me and you posting. I really would have thought some of the Limetech folks would have chimed in. I think this is a bug with the built in Wireguard.

Slow SMB traffic over Wireguard since updating from Unraid v6 to v7
No I have not. I'm convinced it's due to the updated WireGuard in Unraid. After testing Tailscale, my speeds returned to normal, but I'd prefer to use the built-in WireGuard. I attempted to set up the Docker WireGuard, but I'm unsure about the process. My site-to-site VPN setup with my friend is where I get confused. For a personal setup, Tailscale seems to work smoothly. However, I'm not familiar with Tailscale, and it would require me to share my network with their servers.

Slow SMB traffic over Wireguard since updating from Unraid v6 to v7
I initially posted my issue without specifying a solution. To clarify, I'm looking for a way to revert the Wireguard version on my system to the one included in Unraid v6. Alternatively, if that's not possible, I'd appreciate any advice on resolving this issue. If not, I may attempt to install the Wireguard Docker and set it up manually.

Slow SMB traffic over Wireguard since updating from Unraid v6 to v7
I'm on Unraid 7.1.3. The plugins installed are: Appdata Backup, CA Auto Update Applications, CA Cleanup Appdata, Community Applications, Dynamix System Temperature, Fix Common Problems, and Unraid Connect. I have 9 dockers running and 1 VM. My hardware is a basic PC with a Gigabyte motherboard, Intel 4770 CPU, 16GB DDR3 RAM, LSI 9300-16i SAS controller, 9 HDDs, and 2 SSDs. My internet is ATT 1gb fiber. I have an Asus router behind my ATT Gateway with IP Passthrough. I don't think I missed anything relevant, if so please ask. Diagnostics file in attached. I have my server setup for my dad and a friend to access media files remotely. However, we've encountered a problem recently: video playback would pause intermittently. To troubleshoot, we tested file transfers from the server to our local network and achieved maximum speeds of 1 GB. Transferring files via Wireguard over a 500 MB fiber connection yielded sporadic speeds, ranging from 500 KBPS to 16 MBPS, with most results on the lower end. This suggests that the issue may be related to the Wireguard connection. To further investigate, I set up Wireguard on my ASUS router and configured it on my laptop. The results were promising, with transfer speeds maxing out my local connection (approximately 300 MB). However, when I disconnected from the ASUS router's Wireguard and connected to the Unraid server's Wireguard, speeds dropped back to their original low levels. I read a related thread on the Unraid forums where a user experienced a similar issue after upgrading from version 6 to 7, but their problem was related to slow SMB performance. They resolved the issue by using NFS instead. Since I can saturate my local 1 GB connection, I don't think this is an SMB-related problem. server-diagnostics-20250609-1000.zip

I have the Validate Installation field blank. According to the log after the Valheim server starts, it states that the game is up to date. It appears to not do anything at all.

I want to downgrade back to the version of the game what worked with Valheim plus. I changed the GAME_ID field to 896660 -beta 0.213.4 which is the previous version and it didn't downgrade. Is there a better direction you can point me?

Re: Format XFS on replacement drive / Convert from RFS to XFS (discussion only)
dboonthego, garycase, and trurl, thanks for yall's responses and information. I will take this info and move forward. garycase, I'm not sure about everyone else but I'll speak for myself. I didn't build a fault-tolerant server for data retention. I built it for it's reliability, little need for human interaction(once setup), and simplicity due to the many support discussions in these forums. I also like the fact that if a drive fails, I can just pop another one in and it will rebuild in most cases as if nothing happened. Any documents or photos which are important to me are in the Google cloud and will remain there because they are accessible on the go. Every time I've ever requested help in these forums it has been a great experience with many people giving instructions on what I need. Again, thank yall for the information. I will move forward with my upgrades.

No, I do not have backups. Will breaking the parity protection be my best choice?
