  1. I have the Validate Installation field blank. According to the log after the Valheim server starts, it states that the game is up to date. It appears to not do anything at all.
  2. I want to downgrade back to the version of the game what worked with Valheim plus. I changed the GAME_ID field to 896660 -beta 0.213.4 which is the previous version and it didn't downgrade. Is there a better direction you can point me?
  3. Born8bit Hit the nail on the head here. Gotta be cookies messing up VNC
  4. dboonthego, garycase, and trurl, thanks for yall's responses and information. I will take this info and move forward. garycase, I'm not sure about everyone else but I'll speak for myself. I didn't build a fault-tolerant server for data retention. I built it for it's reliability, little need for human interaction(once setup), and simplicity due to the many support discussions in these forums. I also like the fact that if a drive fails, I can just pop another one in and it will rebuild in most cases as if nothing happened. Any documents or photos which are important to me are in the Google cloud and will remain there because they are accessible on the go. Every time I've ever requested help in these forums it has been a great experience with many people giving instructions on what I need. Again, thank yall for the information. I will move forward with my upgrades.
  5. No, I do not have backups. Will breaking the parity protection be my best choice?
  6. I would really appreciate some advice on what I'm about to do. My server is running version Unraid 6.3.2 and I have 6 drives in my array all on the reiserfs. Five are 3TB and one is 1TB. My Parity drive was a 3TB but I replaced it with a 6TB to get ready for the upgrade I'm about to ask yall about. I purchased four 6TB drives for my upgrade and conversion. As mentioned, one is already been installed as my parity. I have read two different WIKI posts that seem to fit what I want to do. One of them gave instructions to convert from RFS to XFS and the other told how to replacing multiple data drives with a single larger drive. The two wiki posts are below. http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/File_System_Conversion https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Replacing_Multiple_Data_Drives_with_a_Single_Larger_Drive With that said, I haven't found instructions on converting and consolidating together. I'm starting to think that what I'm going to have to do is the "Faster Method" in the wiki post "Replacing Multiple Data Drives with a Single Larger Drive." Could I get more of an expert opinion on this topic?
  7. Wow thanks. I couldn't have expected a better answer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just to let everyone know my server has been running for 16 days without error with the battery backup removed. That is the longest it has ran without issues since I got this ups. I'm pretty sure this was my problem now. Thanks to all who gave suggestions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. There are no firmware updates for these drives. So I can cross that off the list. I just thought of this. On January 12th I had a disk actually die and I RMA'd it. On February 3rd, a friend gave me a used APC battery back up that he just put new batteries in. My first thread on here about this was February 16th. I have now unplugged my server from the ups my friend gave me to my small one that kept my server up for 6 months until the drive failure. Could it be?
  10. It would probably be best if I did each one individually. I will research that and see what I come up with.
  11. I will check the wires again to be sure they are snug. With the thought of a vibration shaking out the SATA cables, would the hard drives spinning cause this? These are locking SATA cables. I have the server behind a battery backup so I would assume that if there were a power spike it would have absorbed it plus I have many computers in the house that don't seem affected by it. I look at the server GUI often and if the temperatures are reading right they never seem to get very high. I use the Dynamix web gui plugins and in the disk health section, somewhere in there it gives details on the individual hard drives. On one of those detail pages, it shows on all my Seagate drives that there is an updated firmware available. Since you mentioned something about firmware, this got me thinking about that. Could this be my issue?
  12. Thanks for the quick reply lionelhutz. I will try to get all of this information and pictures tomorrow night. I need to go to bed. I updated my above post with a screenshot. I turned it back on just to see what drives show up.
  13. I spoke too soon. I'm not sure if anyone is going to read my previous two threads about what all I have done so I'll tell you quickly here. I bought a new power supply, a good one. Just in case that was the problem because I had a cheap one. I bought new locking SATA cables. I swapped motherboards from a known working one with Windows 7. I have verified multiple times all wires are pushed in without strain. Now I have a drive on ATA 5 that disappeared. This port has completely different cable in it than what my server had from the other two threads I've created over this. Attached is the new syslog. Server down and I guess it's going to stay down until I can get some feed back from someone. I absolutely do not know what to do. syslog.txt
  14. It's been two days. I have had no errors. I ran short and extended SMART tests on all 7 disks and all returned 0 errors. I'm not going to say my long going initial problem is resolved but I have a good feeling about it. This weekend, I'm going to put the HDD I pulled out into a Windows PC and try some SMART tests on it and verify if it was my problem. I have a feeling the disk is fine but the interface could be messed up somehow. I will mark this thread as solved once I find out in another system. I actually hope the drive is bad so I can rest knowing it was my issue.
  15. Of course when I take the array offline I get this. I'm putting another disk in it's place. Maybe this thing has been throwing my whole server off the hole time.
  16. I just recently switched my motherboard out with another one. The thread on that is below http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=32426.0 In the Dynamix web gui, there is a place to run SMART Short Self-test and SMART Extended Self-test. I ran the short one and it came back with no errors on the parity drive. I then ran the extended test on the parity drive and I actually forgot to look back at it. Today I noticed when I came home that my parity drive was the only disk, excluding the cache, that hadn't spun down. I was concerned about that so I hit the log button saw program smartctl is using a deprecated SCSI ioctl, please convert it to SG_IO which stood out to me. I did some googling on it but couldnt find anything that I should could help so I'm coming here. I've attached a syslog. I noticed in the log that I'm having some of the same issues I was having before the mobo swap. Since that is showing ata 8 below I would think it is sata port 8 but I only have 0-7. Would this be sata 7? ata8.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x6 frozen Mar 24 11:08:17 Server kernel: ata8.00: failed command: CHECK POWER MODE Mar 24 11:08:17 Server kernel: ata8.00: cmd e5/00:00:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/00 tag 0 Mar 24 11:08:17 Server kernel: res 40/00:00:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/00 Emask 0x4 (timeout) Mar 24 11:08:17 Server kernel: ata8.00: status: { DRDY } Mar 24 11:08:17 Server kernel: ata8: hard resetting link Mar 24 11:08:23 Server kernel: ata8: link is slow to respond, please be patient (ready=0) Mar 24 11:08:27 Server kernel: ata8: COMRESET failed (errno=-16) Mar 24 11:08:27 Server kernel: ata8: hard resetting link syslog.zip
  17. Yeah I think they have. I have a friend that is going to bring me one. It's still up and running so I hope it's good to go. I'm tired of worrying with this thing TBH. Thanks for your help with this.
  18. Thanks Dale. I've finished the parity-sync and it seems as if everything is ok. At bed time I'm going to run another parity check. I have all of my plugins back up and I went ahead and updated from v5.0.4 to v5.0.5. So I'm on a different motherboard, cpu, and memory. All day I've been looking for something negative to happen and I did find it. The new motherboard doesnt have a serial connection for my APC battery backup. Time to research a fix.
  19. Of course I forgot to update the BIOS. I had a picture stored of how my drives were arranged in another thread and I verified that before shutting down the old rig. New mobo is in and upon boot I have all green balls except the parity and it shows blue. I disabled all plug ins and set my go script back to default before I booted BTW. I started the array in maintenance mode and it is currently running a parity-sync. I've done this twice before so hopefully I did it right. Wish me luck.
  20. Thank you for your input DaleWilliams. I plan on doing this during the weekend. Great idea on the bios update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I am hoping someone will comment on my mobo plan to swap them out. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I replaced the power supply because the one I had was a cheap package deal that came with the mobo and cpu. I The new psu is a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151136 and the new data cables are http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HE5VNFA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have swapped around data cables to different sata ports on the mobo but didn't make a note of how I switched them. I do have a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816101358 When I started having issues I started moving the drives I've had issues with to this pci card and then I found that some of them did the same thing there. So that is why I decided new power supply. Since the new psu, cables, and cleaning up everything, the server has been on for approximately 2 weeks. I did have to reboot a few times because after all of my troubles couch potato wouldn't work. My next option is going to be to swap my step sons mobo and cpu. His has more sata ports anyways so it would be better for me to have it. I think the cpus are the same so it wont matter as far as performance for him. Plus no one can watch tv at the moment so I'm sure he or the wife will have issues with this idea Before I did this, I wanted to come here and get everyone's take on this idea. I don't want to do this if no one thinks it will help. I did have a set of sata cables http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZDNY02/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that were so tight they would eventually pull themselves out of the motherboard. So I thought that possibly the ports on the mobo are kinda wore hence the connectivity loss. I tried to tell my story without going in circles and confusing everyone so thanks for any help I get from here on out.
  23. I just got the new data cables and made sure they were all connected good and snug. I dont have them tied together or anything like that because another poster said they could get crosstalk. I have all the power wires snug also. I've been having this problem for the last few weeks but this time is after all new data cables and a new power supply. I can only push all the cables into the hdd's and mobo so many times before I think it is something else. I know all signs point toward a lose connection but I have verified numerous times and even replaced all cables twice now and come up with the same problem. Could it be the motherboard?
