September 24, 200817 yr On my second unRAID server I just noticed Telnet stopped working, all I het is a flashing cursor, no login prompt (Tried Putty and Windows Telnet) This was working when I initially installed a few weeks ago, so I don't know what happened I have tried rebooting, still no joy At the console the log says it sees a connection (I just never get a login prompt) I searched the fourm for telnet...well you can imagine the response was overwhelming, after reading for about an hour I'm breaking down and asking ... so could anyone make any suggestions as to what I can to to troubleshoot this problem, Note: unRAID web interface is fine, and the shares are fine, just telnet seems to be out
April 2, 200917 yr I am having this same exact problem. Telnet just suddenly stopped working and is behaving as you described it. Did anybody offer a solution? Thanks.
April 2, 200917 yr Some questions: Can you close the non-working Telnet session, then open another? Does the console on your unRAID server work fine? After rebooting, does everything work again? When you start a new Telnet session that does not seem to be working, do you get a prompt for user name and/or password? What version of unRAID are you using? What other addons do you have loaded? What modifications have you made to your go script?
April 3, 200917 yr Can you close the non-working Telnet session, then open another? Yes - by typing a "]" and then typing "quit" the session closes fine. Does the console on your unRAID server work fine? I have to check that. After rebooting, does everything work again? No When you start a new Telnet session that does not seem to be working, do you get a prompt for user name and/or password? I'm not being prompted for userid/password at all. When I first telnet in, it's just a blank screen. So it connects, but it's like nothing is there. What version of unRAID are you using? 4.3.2 What other addons do you have loaded? None What modifications have you made to your go script? None thank you for your help with this.
