October 2, 200619 yr When the array comes up it will sometimes determine that a drive needs to be rebuilt, in at least one case mine made the wrong decision and as a result a drive that was good became bad. Since I had previously swapped in a disk to expand and then swapped back in the old one to attempt to rebuild another I would like to have had the ability to bring the array up completely "stopped" and been able to know what exact course of action was going to be taken beforehand. It would also be nice if I could override the software's judgement as to what constituted drives that needed actions taken on them. I'm not sure how best to implement this but for those times when something goes way wrong the added control would be very welcome IMO!
