How to set /tmp folder permission/owner at every restart?

To enable mysql, i have to do this

chown root:root /tmp
chmod 1777 /tmp

 

when i restart, mysql service wont run and i have to set folder permission again. how can i do this everytime i restart? afaik, /tmp are ramdrive.

put those exact same two lines in the /boot/config/go file.  (prior to the line than invokes "emhttp")

Actually, they just need to be invoked prior to you starting the mysql service.  Running them before emhttp is invoked will probably do it.

 

There is a different issue though...  On my server, those are the exact owner/group and permissions on /tmp already on the stock unRAID.

What on your server is changing them?  That is your real issue.

inotifywatch would probably do it.  (or disable each of your add-ons in turn, and reboot a couple of times)
