Unraid rc 5.12 / unmenu / unraid status email

Firstly I would like to say how much I like the unmenu interface. Kudos Joe!

I find it much more responsive and feature reach then simplefeatures, I am now trying to generate a status report but I run into a little snag.

I firstly downloaded through the Package Manger ssmtp_2.64.orig.tar.bz2.

When I tried to install it, I get the message

"ssmtp_2.64.orig.tar.bz2 installation:

The C compiler has not been installed.  ssmtp compile not possible

ssmtp_2.64.orig.tar.bz2 apparently did not install properly, /usr/local/etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf does not exist."

So I searched for "compiler" on the pkg manager page, and I found gcc.4.2.4-i486-1.tgz.

When I tried to install it, it crashed the interface. I tried to login to root via telnet, and even that was not connecting at all.

Pinging tower did show the server as online.

Am I trying to install the wrong package?

based on your signature line, you probably don't have enough memory.

You will need to install a swap file, and probably ALSO stop the array before attempting to compile. (That frees the memory used by the user-share-file-system.)
