SMB User shares dissapeared

Featured Replies

1/ I used the new FTP function:

Moving files from one user/share/download to another share user/share/movies

2/ FTP client crashed

3/ I still saw the user share folders and disk folders in my explorer, but couldn't open user shares anymore

4/ I rebooted and hoped everything would be OK again ...

5/ in my explorer only disk shares appears, the user shares are gone

5/ when i login through the web gui, shares are gone here too ...

6/ all files and folders are still on the disks, I can acces them trhough FTP and SMB

HOW TO FIX MY USERS SHARES?

I tried to create a new one in the web gui, but that didn't work.

Thanks for any assistence here.

You should post the syslog.  It sounds as if the user share system might have crashed but without a log to peruse to clarify this any ideas will just be guesses.

Additionally:

user share config files are still in place at:

usbstick/config/shares (all shares have one file here)

Can I find the syslog one the usbstick itself? Server is offline now.

EDIT: OK I have rebooted the server. Where can I collect the right logs? I see many many options: syslog, cron, dmesg, lighthtttp, samba, scripts, etc...

Here with the log when I open //unraid/Shares (is not on menu anymore, I'll have to type this address myself)

No shares are visible at this moment.
