Need some help with Virtualbox

Featured Replies

I need to run unRAID in Virtualbox for testing, but I'm having some trouble. I grabbed images from this thread, but I'm not sure how to update it.

Same way you would if running normal unRAID.

Just start up the VM, connect to the flash via SMB and update the files.

Oh, you can do it while it's running?

Yup, unRAID boots and loads into RAM.  most everything on the flash drive after that is not touched.

I place the new files on the flash drive and reboot.  On reboot your should be running the new version.

Do I just copy all files from the zip to /boot/ ? Trying to move from 4.5.3 to 5.0-rc16c

Edit: Got it. Needed to copy bz* and memtest to /boot
