Can't disable disk share for new disk

Featured Replies

I'm running 5.0-rc16b.

I've added in a new disk to my array and all seems to be working fine. However my shares now list a new disk share for the new drive. Previously all disk shares had been disabled.

With the current release though, when I click on a disk from the main gui page, I don't see any option to turn on/off the share.

All I see are the following:

Partition 1 size: 3907018532 KB (K=1024)

Partition format: GPT: 4K-aligned

File sytem type: reiserfs

Spin down delay: Default

How can I disable this disk share to continue just using my user shares?

First, update to v5.0  (the stable version was released today).

Second, the disk status page should look like this:

UnRAID_v5.0_Disk_Status_Page.jpg.759dea78b614291f710b857f0662c0b6.jpg

... and of course you simply choose "Yes - hidden" for the Export and the disk will no longer be shown, but can still be accessed if need be with \\tower\diskx

THO I had the same problem as you using 5.0-rc16c.

I removed SimpleFeatures and upgraded to 5.0 and the new WebGUI and things are working as the should be again.

Ah, ya I forgot my GUI was updated at some point with a fancy green/black skin. Maybe it's the reason the share settings don't show up for me on the disk info page.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it out.

Very likely that's the issue.    SimpleFeatures has never been updated to work correctly with the latest v5RC's => the developer was waiting for the "stable" release.    And now that much of SF has been integrated into the new GUI (an optional download for the new release), it's not clear what the path forward will be for SF as a separate add-on.

In any event, disabling SF and upgrading to v5.0 will almost certainly resolve your issue.
