From a windows environment, I can access my unRAID server with a "//tower".  On my wife's mac, the name doesn't work.  I have to do the "//192.168.1.200".  Is there a setting on the mac I net to set to get it to resolve the local lan names correctly?

    Yup... the hosts file.  on *nix, it is in /etc/hosts ... thry that location on your Mac.
