(damn I wish I lived in the states)

Doesn't everybody?

Sorry, I had to do that.  Being an American that was actually a self-deprecating stab at the current state of U.S. affairs and NOT part of a bull headed superiority complex that we seem to be charged with lately.  ;D

Now that I think about it, your recent posting of several "good deals" may simply be an insidious plan to increase the personal debt of Americans in an attempt to raise interest rates and destroy the economy, thus issuing the downfall of our entire way of life.

You foreign terrorist devil!  May our mighty bombs fall heavy upon your head!  ;D  (Once again, a joke people.)

LOL! :)

You know, EVERY time I come to the states, usually for work, someone ends up asking me "don't you wish you lived here".  EVERY time, they look shocked when I reply "NO!"!!

Don't people realise that the default human reaction is to want to live where you are from and some people actually like living elsewhere than the states... ;):):D  Besides, the US is too far from all the European race tracks I like to visit as often as I can (but those hardware prices are quite envious!! ;):) )

Matt. :)

@hypyke LOL. Man that was funny.

Actually... I don't want to live in the states. Like most Canadians I just want the deals that only seem available about 200KMs south of my location. That $14 jump drive would end up costing me $50 by the time it was shipped across the border... cause the shipper has to "clear" it with customs, so I have to pay the shipper for doing that for me. Then I have to pay customs for buying something that I should have bought in Canada and paid taxes on. Then there is the exchange rate which isn't all that bad... but I have to pay the bank for the effort involved in converting the money for me.

Geez.. sounding pretty bitter for Canadian... maybe I need some poutine and maple syrup.  ;)

::disclaimer so as not to offend anyone... anywhere::

Ah, Canadians.  I was thinking about Europe when I wrote my previous comments.  The poor state of our relations with the bulk of Europe currently, and the feelings between my country and that continent are in no way reflective of our relationship with Canada.

On a side note, the failure of our recent PR campaign to improve Euro-US relations I lay totally at the feet of it's poorly chosen slogan. ("European, I'm-a-pean, We're-all-a-pean!")

The U.S. has, and always will be, quite fond of our neighbors to the north.  That is why we have all those cute nicknames for you guys. (America 2, America Lite, America Ice, Hockeytown, The 51st State, etc, etc.)

All jokes aside, Canada is actually the last best hope for many Americans. For when our government truly FUBARS this nation we plan to flee to Canada to live as undocumented workers.  We'll take seasonal jobs in the Maple Syrup groves and in the off-season I plan to do odd-jobs and sell oranges at a stop-light in Toronto.

Howdy sir! Would you like to buy some real Florida oranges?

Eh?

Oranges sir! Or perhaps you need some work done.  I could come configure your Internet connection.  We invented that, you know.

Go back to The States ya hoser!

;D
