I would like to install a 32gig SSD exclusively to store my plex library files so that it doesn't keep 1 of the HDDs constantly spinning. When I install the SSD to the array, do I just exclude it from the array and point the plex library to the SSD?

    ... or you can include it in the array and only the parity drive will spin when you're writing to the disk => but not when you're just reading.    That would provide fault-tolerance for the Plex data at the cost of a spinning parity drive for writes.
