plexapp hangs shutdown

Featured Replies

This concerns me because I also run apcups and it needs to be able to shut the server down if the power goes out. If it tries, and plexapp hangs it up, then that's no good!

I use the webgui to stop array. It hangs. I telnet in, ps -ef reveals an entry:

plexapp -noleaf

The moment I kill -9 that process, the server shutdown properly. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Or find a workaround/solution?

thanks!

I've been having issues shutting down with Plex. I'll verify that the cause is similar to what you noted. Did you ever find a solution or workaround?

I was planning on ordering a new APC UPS, so I would be bummed if I couldn't make full use of running apcups.

Thanks.

I did some additional messing around with it, and it appears, that if left to its own devices, the rouge process does eventually shutdown, and the server goes down as it should.

I also run APC UPS and from what I can tell, everything is working correctly.

I have not pulled the plug to see if the thing can do a clean shutdown after the 39 minutes the UPS reports it being able to run the server for. The APCUPS unRaid plugin says it will attempt shutdown on 10 minutes remaining on the UPS.

Good to hear. Thanks for the update. I'll try to have more patience. Also, looking forward to getting a UPS.
