December 10, 201312 yr Early on the data was being put on both drives equally but all of sudden this has stopped and it puts more on one than the other. I have the share set to use both disks now I have never set the slip part not thinking it would do much good but maybe I was wrong. I could sure use some help here on this since one drive is filling faster than the other. Thanks ahead for help and I apologize if there was a post on this before but I could not locate it. Greg
December 10, 201312 yr If you want the drives to fill uniformly, and they're the same size drives, then set the allocation method to "most free" and they'll fill very uniformly.
December 10, 201312 yr It could be a number of reasons. Try sharing a screen shot of your share settings AND a description of the directory structure in the share.
December 10, 201312 yr Author Garycase, Ah got it I see that I put "high-water" instead! Thanks for the help! If you want the drives to fill uniformly, and they're the same size drives, then set the allocation method to "most free" and they'll fill very uniformly.
December 10, 201312 yr Author LionelHutz, Thanks for the help but GrayCase figured it out, I had them all set for "high-water" instead of "most-free". It could be a number of reasons. Try sharing a screen shot of your share settings AND a description of the directory structure in the share.
