How to configure 2nd NIC for eth1?

Featured Replies

I upgraded my server in preparation for virtualization. I added a 2-port add-on NIC. The first few times I booted, everything was fine and unraid was using my onboard NIC as eth0.

But now it's using one of my add-on NIC's ports as eth0, and not getting an IP over DHCP. There is no eth1 or eth2 (not sure if there ever was, BTW). I read that unraid will sometimes swap the NIC that eth0 refers to. Is there some way to control this?

I unplugged my add-on card, and unraid is back to normal, getting an IP with the onboard NIC.

How can I get eth1 and eth2 up? I was hoping to pass the add-on NIC through to some VMs.
