stop parity check from command line [Solved]

Featured Replies

Is there a way to stop the parity check from the command line? I did a clean shutdown and added some new drives however there was a problem with one of my connections and had to do a hard shutdown. Now I assume it is doing a parity check because I don't have access to the WebGUI or folder access.

Why do you think its running? Are there lights lit up to show disk activity? Or can you hear the disk running?

Do you have a display and keyboard attached to your unRAID?

If not, can you telnet into unRAID and pull the system log?

Did you actually start the array after adding the disks? If not it will not be doing a parity check. In any case a parity check will not prevent you from accessing the webGUI. Did you preclear the drives you added? If not then unRAID will have to clear them and the array will be offline until it finishes.

I have a keyboard and monitor hooked up to unraid and it has started. But I don't have any folder access or WebGUI access. I have put the drives in the system but haven't added the drives to the array as I haven't had access to the webgui in order to do so. How do I pull the log from the console?

Will unRaid start preclearing the disks even if I have not added them to the array yet?

Ok so after about 4 hours I used the shutdown command and restarted and everything is showing up again.
