[SOLVED] unRAID will not boot correctly

Featured Replies

Not sure if it's related but I have recently installed a cache drive and Influencers sickbeard, couchpotato, headphones and sabnzbd plugins. I had some issues with couchpotato but eventually got it working. However since having the plugins installed there have been occasions (at least 3 times in the last 2 weeks) when I go to use my unRAID and not be able to access it. unRAID menu and plugins were not accessible through any browser. \\tower would bring up nothing. A restart of unRAID would fix the issue.

This morning I had the same issue. Shutdown unRAID. Rebooted but on this occasion unRAID would not boot up fully but oddly enough couchpotato did. unmenu didn't and neither did any other plugins. Couchpotato is the first Influencer plugin that installs followed by the rest.

Now when I reboot with a monitor attached I get to the Tower login. Couchpotato fails to install and have 10mins it returns to Tower login.

From my PC I can only see my flash drive when typing \\tower

I can access unmenu at tower:8080 but can't open unRAID Main on any browser. unmenu says the array is started and I can see my drives there

After a further reboot ( must have been the 4th one) all is working fine again. Have no idea what the problem was as made no changes for it to reboot correctly

Did you restart your PC during this?

It sounds as if either your web browser cache didn't realize you'd changed unRAID, or your PC was using the wrong credentials/network address to find the array.

Post the full syslog if the problem comes back.

(Note there's another thread about the GUI 'freezing up' and becoming unresponsive. I've noticed that the folks experiencing that tend to have a very long list of installed plugins.  That makes finding the conflict difficult to isolate.)
