    Second question of the day! At the moment my VM's use bridged networking but does XEN support some kind of vSwitch or a method of putting different VM's on different VLANs without passing through physical NIC's?

Xen by default does not have a vSwitch built into its framework.  There have been other threads asking for Open vSwitch support in unRAID, but this is a little ways out I would think.
