redlaws
Hi I was busy copying a 26gb folder to my 1stower, when after it appeared to finish copying, it started its own parity check. part of the way thru I stopped it & after a reboot disk had dropped off. I attached the the spare drive for a rebuild then after that I did a parity check. now I have some data that is unset (but I can view, access & copy off) if deleted it goes away but comes back if I copy back. it reminds of the errors when you get "reiserfsck --rebuild-tree" Link to comment

SSD
I have emailed them to tom No syslog and the story is not clear. Never heard of a sudden parity check unless the box rebooted itself. I'd run a long memory test and also suspect the power supply. Not much to go on. If you sent the syslog to Tom maybe he'll be able to see something pointing to the cause. No idea what unset data is.
