Somehow I think you snookered your wife if you convinced her you were doing this just because DDR2 is more costly than DDR3 [it's certainly true, but $700 instead of $200 ?? ] ... However, I'm sure this is a MUCH nicer system.
May 1, 201412 yr Author Well it was more of throwing $200 at a legacy platform. I sold my old motherboard RAM and CPU and an additional CPU I had to bring the cost down to about $500. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
May 1, 201412 yr That's pretty reasonable -- your net cost is really $300 for the upgrade, since you're also saving the $200 it would have cost for DDR2.
