May 10, 201412 yr I've found that if issuing a "reboot" command with a running Xen domU open, the system does not actually reboot -- it goes through the shutdown process, and then hangs at the line "Rebooting..." without resetting. If I manually stop the VM first, this doesn't happen. Is there any way to automatically issue shutdown commands to the VMs before a reboot? The reboot hang is a potentially bad situation because it requires physical access to the machine to reset it.
May 10, 201412 yr We have had issues with clean shutdowns in windows as well, but someone else on here mentioned the key to clean console based shutdowns was in installing windows .net framework, although I haven't had success with that yet myself 100% of the time...
