May 20, 201412 yr I followed the instructions here... http://docs.slackware.com/howtos:hardware:proprietary_graphics_drivers but it failed with this... root@media:/mnt/cache# sh ati-driver-installer-9-3-x86.x86_64.run Created directory fglrx-install.Rf1kKd Verifying archive integrity... All good. Uncompressing ATI Proprietary Linux Driver-8.593... ================================================== ATI Technologies Linux Driver Installer/Packager ================================================== which: no X in (.:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin) which: no Xorg in (.:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin) which: no XFree86 in (.:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin) Error: ./default_policy.sh does not support version default:v2:x86_64:lib::none:3.10.24p-unRAID; make sure that the version is being correctly set by --iscurrentdistro Removing temporary directory: fglrx-install.Rf1kKd In my reading up on this, it seems like I need to create a slackware build environment, but before I go down that road, I figured I'd see if there's something I'm missing, or an easier way to get a driver installed for this card. I want to pass the card to my windows VM, but it's not showing in lspci, nor in lsusb, so I suspect unRAID just isn't recognizing the card. Thanks for any help with this.
May 20, 201412 yr Author I kept researching, and it felt like I was making progress, but ran into another dead end root@media:/mnt/cache# ./ati-driver-installer-9-3-x86.x86_64.run --listpkg Created directory fglrx-install.ngs8zn Verifying archive integrity... May 21, 201412 yr You could try passing through the device id of the pcie slot the card sits in. Then you don't have to worry about getting it detected in unraid. That's what I had to do for a sata that wouldn't pass through properly. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
