Auto Restart for PMS

Featured Replies

I wanted to know if there is a way to auto restart the Plex Media Servers if it crashes? I have had it randomly crash from time to time for no reason at all. I have installed two new updates but it is still happening on a daily basis. Anyone having that same issue? I was just thinking if there was a way to auto restart it I would not have to manually do it and problem solved..

Thanks

Greg

it should not be crashing and your solution is a bad band-aid.  can you grab some PMS system logs (turn on verbose logging) to post here, and in the plex forums.  daily crashes sounds like a memory issue ... like running out of it.  are you using cache-dir?  it might be causing plex to be killed (need unraid logs as well)

in short, if you want help solving the root problem we need logs, logs, and more logs ;-)
