July 25, 201411 yr Hi Guys, Im running unraid 6b6. Also a Debian VM. The server dies (not reachable vritually). I have to do a hard reset. I don't know why it is happening. When the VM idles, there is no problem. But when the has something to do. it will crash the whole server. Are there any log files i can inspecht? Regards Owel
August 4, 201411 yr Author So I did some more testing. Changed Power supply -> no change VM will crash the server after some time. Memtest >4h -> no memory errors 48h Unraid plain -> no issue So current behavior is not changed at all: starting a VM - first looks fine after some time >1h the whole server crashes, and I have to do a hard reset. Syslog is normal. Any suggestions? Owel
August 4, 201411 yr There are some threads on here about pinning cpus for xen in your syslinux.cfg and then pinning cpus within the vm cfg. I don't have the links or remember the commands but I think that's where you should start. But also your logs and specs will help.

August 21, 201411 yr Had the same issue with just the Owncloud Docker and plain Unraid, without Docker or VM hope beta7 will fix it What are your system specs? You're running kvm right? I've had similar problems and lately I'll freeze/crash after a few days but not immediately. I'm just running 2 kvm vm's. When I was running docker a similar problem happened I believe after adding owncloud also but can't be sure it was owncloud. The errors I see on the console after a freeze are always different but point to memory. I'm picking up 2 sticks of 8GB ECC memory today.
August 22, 201411 yr Author I already had done mentest for over 4h. So i don't think there is a problem with it. Also had this memory with other hardware running, no errors for years. Please tell me if your new memory solves your problem?!
August 25, 201411 yr Well so far I've been up for 3 days. I'll let you know how our goes. I'm on the new unraid 6b7. If your motherboard supports ECC I'd recommend getting it anyway. It was always my plan to get it. It's just expensive.
August 26, 201411 yr Author Thanks for your reply. I've created a new Topic in the defect section, because it is no longer a kvm only error: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=34780.0
