P4P800 Deluxe / unRaid 3.0 Issue

Featured Replies

I finally found the time to give the Basic version of unRaid a shot, I had seen in the forums a few people using the Asus P4P800 Deluxe motherboard succesfully so decided to tear down my existing storage solution based on this board and give unRaid a try instead.

when booting I get the following final few lines written out to the console and then just a total freeze

Enabling unmasked SIMD FPU exception support... done.

Checking 'hlt' instruction... OK.

ACPI: IRQ9 SCI: Edge Set To Level Trigger.

I've flashed to the latest BIOIS and that's not helped any so was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions?

The only thing my searches have found so far which sounds similar is http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0409.3/0539.html

Other info: CPU 3Ghz, Single stick 512MB Ram, couple of IDE Drives in caddies

TIA.

Here is something you can try.  There is a file in the root of the flash called 'syslinux.cfg'.  Edit this file and change this line:

append initrd=bzroot ramdisk_size=120000 root=/dev/ram0

change to:

append initrd=bzroot ramdisk_size=120000 root=/dev/ram0 acpi=off
