October 31, 201411 yr For some time now, several members of our community have been participating in an IRC channel dedicated to unRAID. This channel, located on the FreeNode servers, has been very helpful for those sorting out issues, looking for advice, or for connecting in real-time communication with other unRAID users. The team here at Lime Technology recently has begun participating in this channel as well and want to continue to encourage it's use and growth and see it become a bastion for helping those in need with their unRAID questions. In addition, we also see IRC as a great vehicle for providing better support and beta testing. We highly encourage folks to check it out and participate! Here's the important details to get you started: [*]Download an IRC client for Windows or Mac [*]Configure your client to connect to a freenode server [*]Join channel #unraid and start chatting with fellow community members Popular IRC clients include mIRC for Windows and LimeChat for Mac (no, that's not related to Lime Tech ;-). As for the freenode server info, both those clients already have this information built into them after install, but if you want to do it the old fashioned way: - Server: chat.freenode.org - Ports: 6667 A huge thanks to Ice_Black and lainie for starting up this effort and keeping it going. And thanks to everyone else who's been participating thus far! If we don't say it enough, this community ROCKS! Oh and for clientless access: https://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=unRAID&uio=d4
