November 4, 201411 yr All my disks are now combined as one disk, and data is written by chance to each drive. How do I set them back to the setup that they work as separate disks? This is likely a misunderstanding of what is happening. All your disks are separate - and always will be. However, when you define shares you dictate which disks are a part of that share, and how disks get filled. By default, when you create a share, all disks are included. If you want to change this behaviour, modify the share to list only the disks you want included. You can then manually move data from one disk to another as required to clean up.

Can't find a way for either of those options. So, a couple of basic points to understand: 1) Any folder you copy to the root of a disk becomes an automatic share (likely what happened to Caprica - you copied to root of disk instead of a sub-folder so it created a Caprica share). 2) You can delete shares from the WebGUI, however this will not delete anything off the actual disks 3) To really manage your disks you are best to mount them to Windows with \\tower\disk1 \\tower\disk2 etc. This will show you the root of each disk and you can move files around, delete them, move between disks, etc with ease. Also, one other suggestion... It's best to create folders without spaces in the names. It's not the end of the world, but moving around them in Unix is a bit of a pain with the spaces, and some media clients treat them oddly as well. I had tried different scenarios but ended up just creating a Movies share and a TV share. Most media center apps like XBMC or Plex can show you items of a specific category (i.e. Sci-Fi) without you creating folders for each kind. I find it makes life a lot easier, but it's personally taste.
November 4, 201411 yr Turn-off user shares if you just want the individual disks. You have to click on each disk on the main page and share them for them to appear on the network.
