emo_boy
I added a drive into my array using a high-water system and never actually was used. But that drive just happen to be an old 500GB drive I had lying around. Now that my array is getting full, I purchased a 2TB drive. I'm looking to replace that old unreliable 500GB drive that has nothing on it but is a part of my array. What's the best way to go about doing that? Link to comment
garycase
Just replace the drive and let UnRAID rebuild it => even though there's nothing on it, it does have a blank file system and is part of your parity calculations, so UnRAID needs to copy the current contents (even if all zeroes) to the new drive. emo_boy
Perfect. I had a feeling that was the case. I didn't know if there was any extra steps since I'm changing drive sizes. Thanks! Link to comment
