How do i install screen on a 6beta12 system. Can i use the version used for unRAID 5. I don't think so cause it's 32bits but I'm not sure. The reason i need screen is i want to preclear a drive.

The easiest way is to install unmenu and get it from the packages there.

Thank you for your suggestion.

If not needed i don't want to install unmenu. Is it not possible to install this as a separate plugin?

Make a new dir in /boot called Extra. If it already exists skip that step.

Download from a slack site the following files.

screen-4.0.3-x86_64-4.txz

libutempter-1.1.5-x86_64-1.txz

Put them both in Extra and either reboot the server or install using installpkg.

Thanks Kevin!

I managed to install screen. It was very easy to do. I needed:

screen-4.2.1-x86_64-1
utempter-1.1.5-x86_64-1

did installpkg and preclear is now running in a screen session.

One question is everything in the extra directory started by default when unRAID boots?

Just curious, is there a tmux plugin available?
