[Solved] Getting a newer Areca JBOD Card to work with unRaid

Current versions of unRaid will see the card but cannot see the harddrives.

ver 5.0.5  ver 5.0.6  and 6.0 Beta 12 and previews (not sure if the releases after 12 will have it fixed)

 

In this instance i'm using the Areca ARC-1284ML-24

 

Worked with Areca and they created new bzroot and bzimage with the latest Areca source code in  /usr/src/linux/drivers/scsi/arcmsr  (wish i savvy enough to do this myself)

After this all i did was put the card in JBOD mode and saw my drives...

    Must be the newer cards.

     

    My old ARC-1170 (24 port) with 10 drives works fine as does my "new" ARC-1261 (16 port) currently with 4 drives.

     

    I wouldn't mind seeing an updated Areca driver included with unRAID.
