Just FYI, from chat with Seagate representative:

 

Q: -- What is the exact capacity, in bytes, of this drive?

 

A: -- The only information I can find is the number of guaranteed sectors. Using the sectors I can say the number of guaranteed bytes should be 8,001,563,222,016. Since normally 512 bytes are located in 1 sector.

 

Q: -- So documentation guarantees at least 15,628,053,168 sectors? Could there be a significant number of... I dont know... "extra" sectors?
