While using earlier versions of unRaid, I used an add-on to power down my server after a predetermined length time of being idle. I would then use a remote control to power up again. This provided dependable results for several years, but unfortunately, my memory has not fared as well. I don't remember much about it.

 

I have now switched to ver 6.12 and would like to have the same capability. I have searched the forums for "power down" and not finding much. Is this still available? If so, can someone point me to the link?

You're probably thinking of S3 Sleep and WOL. Try those for your search.

trurl, I think you are right about s3 sleep. As for the remote, I use a hand held remote. WOL was too limiting for me.

You mean like an IR remote control? Probably something to do with Wake on USB. Check your BIOS settings.
