I have a feeling that prices are actually rising for  4-6 TB mid-end (NAS-type) drives from WD and HGST... completely opposite to my intuitive expectations.

 

Well, if they are really trying to squeeze few more cents from this dying market segment by rising prices, than I am turning to Seagate 8TB Archive drive completely and decisively... and giving WD a bird.
