March 4, 201511 yr Hi guys, One of my drives failed on my so I replaced it and started a rebuild. During that rebuild we had a few rolling black outs to such a degree that another drive reported failing. I knew that wasn't the case and by then was so frustrated that I went and reset the config. Lo and behold during the parity check after resetting another drive failed which I then replaced and started the parity check again. The parity check has gone through and I have what looks like a fully working array but I have a shed load of files and folders missing (I expected this but also still had a slight bit of hope that not everything would be wiped). However the space is still being consumed as if these files/folders existed. Is there any way to run some sort of check/rebuild that would look for the files/folders and restore them as such or at least free up the space being consumed by these missing files and folders. One point to note is that the folders that are empty or the ones that I use on a regular basis, almost daily. There are still very many other folders that have not been wiped after all this. Thank you in advance for any help offered. Regards, Trydon Edit: Another thing to note is that I cannot created folders in these folders that were affected. Also, I have a program that I use to monitor these folders and it can create folders if need be. I tried using it to create a folder that I knew existed within the affected folder and it reported back that the folder already existed, although it comes up as empty when browsing to it. Edit: And I cannot create folders manually within these affected folders.
