Unable to create Windows XP KVM....

Featured Replies

I am attempting to create a Windows XP VM within Unraid 6 b15.  When I simply use the virtio-win-0.1.96.iso driver the XP setup cannot find the drivers.  I corrected this by adding the virtio-win-0.1.96_x86.vfd drivers under a new floppy drive.  The XP setup now sees the floppy but when I go to install the drivers the setup says "The disk or CD you have inserted may be damaged".  Has anyone installed a Windows XP KVM yet under Unraid 6?  Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Here is my xml for the setup....

I believe someone else mentioned that they setup XP by switching the vdisk to be IDE, and I recall JonP saying that there was a fix that would be in the next beta to prevent having to do this.
