[Solved] Question about how to allow KVM windows VM to be seen by the network.

Featured Replies

I'm running into an issue on my windows VM where inside of the windows VM I can only see my unraid server. My VM can't talk to the other machines on my network. Only the unraid server.

I assume it has something to do with how my interface is set up, but I don't know exactly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

<interface type='bridge'>
      <mac address='52:54:00:ca:85:dc'/>
      <source bridge='virbr0'/>
      <target dev='vnet0'/>
      <model type='virtio'/>
      <alias name='net0'/>
      <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x03' function='0x0'/>
    </interface>

Please see the link in my signature for the virtual machines guide. Take a look at network settings section.  You need to setup a public bridge.
