hernandito
I know this sounds nuts and insanely dangerous. Is it possible to have either a Docker or a VM, with Parted Magic? Parted Magic will ONLY interact with hard drives connected via USB. So as not to risk the array drives. I am constantly rebooting my Win PC to boot Parted Magic to perform some type of hard drive operation. Formatting hard drives, tweaking partitions, cloning, etc. Perhaps we do specify one share in the array to save clone images to it, etc. Link to comment
archedraft
but what happens when you're in a hurry and accidentally select the unRAID USB drive!!! LOL Maybe the docker should require a password to boot up and the only way to get the password from the dev is to pass a series of linux questions. Link to comment
hernandito
The unRAID USB gets backed up every night, every week and every month.... not worried about that.. Normally I boot Parted Magic from a USB and I have never accidentally done anything to it. Link to comment
