Can't see any drives after installing unRAID basic

Featured Replies

I just installed the basic version last night and am trying to get (3) 250Gb drives to show up in the web console.  I have 2 sata drives and 2 IDE drives in the system.  So far, I've been able to connect to http://tower but no drives show up in the list.

I just read that round cables are a bad idea so I will swap it out with a flat cable later when I get home.  But shouldn't I at least be seeing the sata drives?  I clicked on "Restore" last night and it's been stuck on "Starting..." in the Command area ever since.  I'm guessing (hoping) that it's clearing out the drives to prepare for use.  But I could be wrong.  Also, I noticed that the System log has a ton of errors (maybe related to the round cable?)

I'm attaching a screen shot of the web interface as well as my logs.

Thanks.

You need to assign the drives in the Devices page.

Have you done that?

No, I sure didn't.  When I look at the page it says that the "Array must be stopped to make changes."  Should I reboot the box and try it?  I was afraid I might screw something up if I rebooted while it was in the middle of doing something.

I went ahead and rebooted the box and assigned the drives.  All is well now, thanks!
