bwperez Posted October 17, 2015 Share Posted October 17, 2015 Is it possible to playback bluray disks on a VM with a video card passedthrough to the VM? I keep getting a message stating the video driver isn't compatible. I'm using MyMovies and would love to replace multiple WMC machines with a VM on my unraid server. So far everything outside of Bluray playback works. I'm using a Radeon 5400 passed through to a windows 8.1 VM and Power DVD 15 playback software. I know I can rip the movie to a file and playback that way, however I'd like to be able to use the iso's I've already ripped without having to convert them. Brian Link to comment
bwperez Posted October 24, 2015 Author Share Posted October 24, 2015 I found my solution to the hdcp issue. Don't use an AMD video card. I purchased a Nnvida GT 720 and everything works perfect now. Brian Link to comment
