Sup Everyone,

After a few months of testing hardware configs, hard drives crapping out, and finding a case I liked; I finally got my unRAID server up. All I can say is this is really a system I have been waiting on for years and I am very happy with it.

I thought about going the ESXi route and just making unRAID a virtual machine, but with features like KVM and Docker I don't see a need.

The only upgrades I see myself doing anytime soon is maybe upgrading to an i5 or i7 proc, addin more memory for VM's, and a SATA expansion card as the current mobo I am using only has 6 ports which are in in use.

Specs:

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 (3.2Ghz)

Mobo: MSI Z97 PC Mate

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport (2x4GB@1600Mhz)

PSU: Corsair CX430

Parity HDD: WD Red 3TB

Stoage HDD: WD Red 3TB (x3)

Cache SSD: Sandisk Ultra II 240GB (x2)

Case: Antec One

OS: unRAID 6.1.3
