January 13, 200719 yr What is meant to happen when you upgrade a drive (replace a working drive with a larger one)? I'm using 3.0 Beta 4 with the starter kit hardware. After I replace the drive and boot up unRaid, a red icon appears in the Command Area and the text says Upgrading disk.. or something like that. Everything else is greyed out, so I sit and wait... and wait.... and wait... Nine hours later with no disk sound and nothing riveting in the syslog I think something must be wrong. Then I try clicking on the GREYED OUT tick box (under the GREYED OUT Start button) - the one with dire warnings about being really, really sure that you want to rebuild the data. And voila, the Start button comes alive and I click it and the new drive starts rebuilding - and that's about another six hours. Is this the intended behaviour? Surely the Start button should not be greyed out - or at least the tick box shouldn't be. The difference is a wasted day out of my weekend when I planned to transfer files to unRaid. The saddest thing of all is this is the second time it's happened to me
January 15, 200719 yr You did everything right except notice the Greyed out checkbox was not actually greyed out. Sorry about that; it should be more obvious; we'll try to improve that.
January 16, 200719 yr Author Ah, my apologies for not noticing that. Looks like I'll have to upgrade another disk just to check it out
